The government is examining a national petrochemical feedstock policy, while industry participants have highlighted the need for a more reliable supply of essential chemical intermediates. Domestic manufacturers also called for faster approvals for joint ventures and technology collaborations. Such measures could help downstream industries gain access to materials that currently depend heavily on overseas suppliers.
