The Indian trade-remedy authority held an oral hearing on 29 September 2026 concerning the sunset review of anti-dumping measures on Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) imported from South Korea. NBR is a major synthetic rubber used extensively in non-tyre applications because of its resistance to oils, fuels and chemicals. It is widely used in seals, O-rings, gaskets, hoses, diaphragms and other engineered rubber products. The review is therefore significant for Indian manufacturers dependent on NBR as a key raw material. A sunset review determines whether existing trade-remedy measures should continue, be modified or allowed to lapse. The DGTR's proceedings will be closely watched by both domestic producers and downstream rubber-product manufacturers. Any eventual change in the import-duty regime could affect raw-material costs, supplier selection and the competitiveness of Indian non-tyre rubber products.
