India has amended its Foreign Trade Policy to waive the requirement for registration certificates for export shipments valued up to Rs.3 lakh. The change, announced on 16 September, is intended to reduce compliance requirements for small businesses and first time exporters and facilitate shipments through postal, courier and e-commerce channels.
