Natural Rubber prices remain firm in India
| |

Natural rubber prices remained elevated in the Indian market during the latest available trading data. According to the Rubber Board, on September 21, 2026, RSS-4 was quoted at Rs.274/kg, RSS-5 at Rs.269/kg and ISNR-20 at Rs.257/kg. Latex with 60% dry rubber content was quoted at approximately Rs.200.75/kg. Internationally, Bangkok RSS-1 was equivalent to around Rs.268.53/kg, while Kuala Lumpur SMR-20 stood at approximately Rs.235.31/kg. The firm price environment is significant for India's non-tyre rubber manufacturers, where natural rubber is used extensively in industrial hoses, conveyor belts, seals, sheets, footwear, vibration-control products and other applications. Elevated input costs can place pressure on margins, particularly for smaller manufacturers operating under fixed price contracts. The current market also reinforces the importance of inventory planning and efficient formulation as manufacturers manage raw material volatility.
