The initiative is relevant to the non-tyre rubber sector, where many manufacturers operate within MSME supply chains and increasingly look toward overseas markets for industrial and engineered rubber products.

For smaller exporters, however, accessing preferential tariffs requires more than an FTA itself. Businesses must understand tariff schedules, rules of origin, certification, documentation and destination-market regulations. Government outreach and trade facilitation can therefore play an important role in translating negotiated market access into actual shipments. For rubber MSMEs, greater awareness of FTA provisions could support diversification of export destinations and integration into international manufacturing supply chains.
