The Rubber Board, under the iSPEED programme, has launched multilingual training videos aimed at improving productivity and quality in India's natural-rubber sector. The programme covers rubber tapping, rain guarding, grading, sheet making and scientific smokehouses in Assamese, Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam. The initiative is expected to reach nearly 3 lakh rubber growers and forms part of the broader Project INROAD, which has facilitated plantations across approximately 1.8 lakh hectares in Northeast India. Improved quality and productivity could strengthen the domestic supply chain for rubber-product manufacturers.
