Rubber prices remain an important concern for India's non-tyre manufacturers, particularly MSMEs producing hoses, belts, seals, gaskets, footwear components and moulded rubber goods. The latest price data for 10 August showed RSS-4 at Rs.284/kg and RSS-5 at Rs.281/kg in Kottayam, while ISNR-20 was Rs.256/kg. Internationally, Bangkok RSS-4 was around Rs. 265.79/kg. The elevated raw material cost environment continues to put pressure on margins across the downstream rubber-products sector.
