Rubber price per 100 kg on 05/08/2026
The domestic natural rubber market maintained its firm tone on 05 August 2026, with benchmark sheet rubber prices in Kottayam and Kochi continuing to trade at historically strong levels. In contrast, the international market remained under pressure, as Bangkok RSS grades recorded declines while Kuala Lumpur presented a mixed trend.
Domestic Market
Indian rubber prices remained resilient, supported by steady demand from the tyre industry and relatively tight market availability.
Kottayam
- RSS4: Rs.28,400/100 kg (US$298.56)
- RSS5: Rs.28,100/100 kg (US$295.40)
- ISNR20: Rs.25,300/100 kg (US$265.97)
- Latex (60%): Rs.19,865/100 kg (US$208.83)
- FC-80% (Average last two trades): Rs.18,900/100 kg (US$198.69)
- FC-60% (Average last two trades): Rs.14,175/100 kg (US$149.02)
Kochi
Agartala
The domestic market continues to outperform international benchmarks, with RSS4 prices in Kottayam holding well above Rs.280 per kg. Strong buying interest from the manufacturing sector and improved market sentiment have helped sustain prices. Rubber Board data also confirms these firm domestic quotations.
International Market
The Bangkok market witnessed a broad-based correction across all RSS grades.
Bangkok
- RSS1: Rs.26,939/100 kg (US$282.53) ▼
- RSS2: Rs.26,768/100 kg (US$280.74) ▼
- RSS3: Rs.26,611/100 kg (US$279.09) ▼
- RSS4: Rs.26,525/100 kg (US$278.19) ▼
- RSS5: Rs.26,482/100 kg (US$277.74) ▼
Kuala Lumpur
- SMR20: Rs.21,320/100 kg (US$223.60) ▲
- Latex (60%): Rs.16,424/100 kg (US$172.25) ▼
The decline in Bangkok RSS prices indicates continued pressure from global market sentiment, while Kuala Lumpur's SMR20 posted a modest gain, reflecting selective buying interest.
The significant premium enjoyed by Indian RSS4 over Bangkok RSS4 highlights the strength of the domestic market. Unless supply improves substantially, Indian prices are expected to remain well supported in the near term despite softer international quotations. Global natural rubber markets continue to be influenced by demand expectations, regional supply conditions, and movements in major commodity exchanges.
