The delegation also discussed the revival of sick industrial units and stressed the importance of timely land allocation for new manufacturing facilities. AIRIA pointed out that several entrepreneurs are keen to invest and expand operations in the state, provided a more industry-friendly environment and faster policy support are made available.

Recognising West Bengal's historic strength in the non-leather and rubber footwear sector, AIRIA proposed focused policy measures to revive the industry through modern manufacturing, technology adoption, export promotion and greater MSME participation.

Looking towards the future, Mr. Bagaria informed the Hon'ble Minister about AIRIA's vision of organising IREXPO, a mega international exhibition dedicated to the rubber and allied industries, in the coming years.

 

The Hon'ble Minister appreciated AIRIA's proactive efforts and acknowledged the immense potential of the non-tyre rubber sector in driving industrial growth. He encouraged the Association to submit specific issues and actionable recommendations requiring government intervention and assured the delegation of the Ministry's fullest support in resolving genuine concerns faced by the industry.
