On the occasion of International MSME Day 2026, the Government of India launched a new suite of digital platforms and initiatives to accelerate the growth and competitiveness of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Speaking at the 'MSME Day 2026 - Udyami Bharat' event, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan emphasized that technology, innovation, quality, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are essential for building a future-ready MSME ecosystem. The Ministry of MSME introduced several upgraded digital initiatives, including PMEGP 2.0, MSME Samadhaan 2.0, MSME Global Mart 2.0, PMS 2.0, the MSME Testing Centre Portal, a multilingual enablement platform, and MSME Idea Hackathon 6.0. These platforms are designed to simplify compliance, improve market access, facilitate faster grievance resolution, encourage innovation, and strengthen digital connectivity for MSMEs across the country. The initiative supports the government's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 by promoting a technology-driven, globally competitive, and resilient MSME sector.
