Ms. Varnali Deka and Polavaram district Joint Collector and Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA-Rampachodavaram) Project Officer B. Smaran Raj, inspected the rubber plantation cultivated by the Konda Reddi tribal families in Devarapalli near Rampachodavaram in Polavaram district. The officials assessed the improvement in the livelihood of the tribals involved in rubber cultivation.

In an official release, Ms. Varnali Deka stated that the Rubber Board would be directed to encourage rubber plantation in more than 3,000 acres in the tribal pockets. She also inquired about the rubber production and procurement by the Rubber Board. Rampachodavaram agency is considered one of the prime locations for rubber plantations.
