Natural rubber prices surge on supply crunch, strong demand
|
| |
|

Natural rubber prices are on an upward trajectory due to supply shortage owing to stoppage of tapping and increased demand.
RSS IV prices are ruling at Rs.210 per kg compared to Rs.185 during at the start of the year, up 13 per cent so far.
Official sources said that the overall outlook seems to be positive due to increased demand from the industry which, in all likelihood, is expected to retain the current momentum on domestic and international fronts. With India's economic growth also projected to be higher, the uptrend will provide further ray of hope for the growers in the country. They will also be motivated to engage in tapping with increased zest and thereby, reap the benefits.
