JK Tyre & Industries has introduced India's first Embedded Smart Tyres for the passenger vehicle segment, marking a major technological milestone in the domestic automotive industry. The new tyres integrate advanced sensors within the tyre structure, enabling continuous monitoring of air pressure, temperature, and potential leaks to deliver real-time safety and performance insights.

Designed and developed in-house and manufactured at JK Tyre's Banmore facility in Madhya Pradesh, the innovation strengthens the company's commitment to the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' mission. Alongside enhanced safety, the embedded smart tyres also offer improved fuel efficiency, longer tread life, and reduced environmental impact.

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, said the launch represents a defining moment in the company's innovation journey. He noted that by integrating intelligence at the core of tyre performance, JK Tyre aims to make mobility smarter, safer, and more sustainable, reflecting its leadership in connected mobility solutions. The Embedded Smart Tyres will be available in the aftermarket through JK Tyre dealerships with initial sizes ranging from 14 to 17 inches.

JK Tyre's introduction of embedded technology builds on its earlier SMART Tyre innovation, launched in 2019 through TREEL sensors. This system combines Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) with cloud-based analytics and is widely deployed across dealer networks, gaining adoption among fleet operators and individual users.
