Exporters feel tariff pain; no immediate succour visible

Exporters are struggling due to recent tariffs; no new relief measures have been announced by the government yet. Many exporters fear losing market share in the US as long-term tariffs persist, especially those previously protected by special trade agreements. Businesses are increasingly reaching out to the Ministry of Finance and Commerce, seeking targeted support but receiving limited assurance so far. No concrete dates for formal talks or resolutions regarding US-India trade issues have been released by officials. Some exporting units in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are readying to exit or change strategies, as government support is delayed. High level discussions continue, but immediate solutions remain elusive, creating uncertainty for export-dependent sectors.
