The Micro, Small and Medium scale Enterprises (MSME) Department of the Tamil Nadu government will recommend to the State government to constitute a co-ordination committee for the plantation sector, said Atul Anand, the Department's Additional Chief Secretary, said in Coimbatore recently.

Speaking at the annual meeting of the Planters Association of Tamil Nadu (PAT), he said one of the demands of the plantation sector is for a co-ordination committee. The sector will submit a formal request in this regard and the Department will recommend it to the Tamil Nadu government. He also urged the planters to study the market requirements for the plantation products and take up marketing accordingly.
