RCPSDC and AAPT signed MoU in presence of AIRIA to strengthen Skill Development in Rubber Industry
 

The Rubber, Chemical & Polymer Skill Development Council (RCPSDC), in collaboration with the Asian Academy of Professional Training Pvt. Ltd. (AAPT), Pune, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the esteemed presence of Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh, President, All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) and Chairman RCPSDC, on 29th September 2025 at the head office of the All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA), Mumbai.

The dignitaries present were Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh, President, AIRIA and Chairman, RCPSDC, Mr. Dharmesh Dhanani, Editor, Rubber India, Mr. Vinod Patkotwar, Managing Committee Member, AIRIA and former Chairman, RCPSDC, Mr. Rajendra Bhamare, Secretary General, AIRIA, Mr. Kumar Vibhuti, Secretary, AIRIA, Prof. M.R. Joshi, Managing Director, Asian Academy of Professional Training (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AAPT), Dr. Hemant Sadafale, CEO, Asian Academy of Professional Training (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AAPT), Mr. Rahul Ukey, State Manager, RCPSDC.

The MoU aims to create concreted benefits for AIRIA member manufacturers by strengthening skill development initiatives. Under this collaboration, different Qualification Packs (QPs) designed by RCPSDC, in line with industry requirements, will be implemented. These courses will help generate a skilled workforce for the rubber sector, while also offering opportunities for upskilling the existing workforce.

Successful candidates will receive certifications endorsed with the NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) logo. Asian Academy of Professional Training (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AAPT) as the training partner in Pune, will not only be part of the initial courses but also design customized training modules as per industry specific needs.

Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh, President, AIRIA and Chairman, RCPSDC, emphasized the importance of utilizing these courses to meet the skill requirements of the rubber industry locally. He also highlighted that trainers could be allotted to various industries to conduct training programs as and when required.

This collaborative effort marks an important step towards connecting the skill gap in the rubber sector and underlines AIRIA’s commitment to working closely with academic and training institutions for the collective benefit of the industry.
