All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) was proud to be one of the sponsors at ELASTOPLAZ 2025, an event organized by the Society of Plastics and Rubber Technologists (SPART), Department of Rubber and Plastics Technology, Madras Institute of Technology - MIT Campus, Anna University.

Held on 12th April 2025, the event brought together thought leaders from both industry and academia for a vibrant exchange of ideas in the field of rubber and plastics. It featured insightful sessions, dynamic student participation and engaging interactions with professionals from KOBELCO and other key industry players.

Representing AIRIA at the event was Mr. Ravikumar, Regional Secretary, AIRIA Southern Region. As part of its continued commitment to education and industry development, AIRIA contributed to the event through the AIRIA Educational Trust, which supports initiatives that adopt learning and innovation.

In his address, Mr. Ravikumar highlighted AIRIA's ongoing efforts to promote cooperation and advancement in the rubber industry, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency and mobility, key areas that drive innovation, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. He emphasized the positive outlook for the natural rubber market and encouraged students to remain curious, creative and committed to learning. He also urged exploration of advanced topics such as membrane separation processes and misprocessing techniques aimed at achieving zero discharge goals in rubber processing.

During the event, Mr. Ravikumar also held discussions with Dr. K. Elamvazhuthi, Proprietor of Yes Lee Agro, Salem, and Dr. Sivakumar, Director of Ariviya Deep Tech, regarding their potential membership with AIRIA.
