Nokian Tyres will lead the FUTUREPROOF research, development and innovation (RDI) programme funded by Business Finland to confront the key challenges of future mobility. Aiming to involve over 100 partners in the FUTUREPROOF ecosystem, the five year long programme's mission is futureproofing resilient European on and off-road mobility by crosslinking industries to join the common cause.

The four primary pillars of Nokian Tyres' FUTUREPROOF programme are Advanced Manufacturing, Digital Foundation, Sustainable Tyre Lifecycle and Future Mobility and Business. The collaborative development with ecosystem partners is guided by defined objectives for each subject. Issues including enhancing the sustainability and safety of Finnish and European transportation, cutting emissions across the board, creating cutting edge driving technologies and quickening the adoption of Industry 5.0 are all addressed by the topics.
