Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) earned an "excellence level" certification under Caterpillar Inc.'s Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) program for the second year in a row.

Off-road tire maker BKT said the recognition "highlights its exceptional performance and adherence to Caterpillar's exacting standards".

The SER program recognizes Caterpillar suppliers who meet the company's strict production and quality requirements.

"Being honored again by Caterpillar with the 'SER Excellence Level Certification' is a proud moment, as it reconfirms the excellent teamwork that BKT pursues throughout the entire manufacturing process", said BKT Chairman and Managing Director Arvind Poddar.

"Moreover, this recognition is a further stimulus for us, as we continue to strive towards new ambitious goals - without ever losing sight of our mission - to cater for the needs of the industry by offering increasingly high-performing and distinctive products that combine innovation and safety".

Caterpillar India Private Limited presented BKT with the award April 2.
