The All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) recently organized a Roadshow on the premise of its upcoming event, 11th edition of India Rubber Expo (IRE) 2024, in Kolkata at The The LaLiT Great Eastern Kolkata.
Around 150 industry professionals participated in the Roadshow and the AIRIA-IRE team was lauded by the participants for organizing such a mesmerizing Roadshow for the promotion of the India Rubber Expo (IRE) 2024 which is slated to be held in Mumbai at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), from March 20-22, 2024.
The Roadshow was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Zha Liyou, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata.
The show kickstarted with the National Anthem and was inaugurated by traditional Lamp Lighting by Mr. Liyou along with Ramesh Kejriwal, President, AIRIA, Shashi Singh, Sr. Vice President, AIRIA, Indra Parekh, Chairman-Northern Region, AIRIA, Zafar Ahmed, Member - Managing Committee.
Mr. Kejriwal welcomed all the participants and informed that IRE 2024 is moving to a whole new level making it into the largest event ever in the IRE history. IRE 2024 is committed to provide an interesting interaction galore to maximize opportunities where Asia's rubber industry gathers. He also expressed that this maiden venture would augur well and become a win-win opportunity for all sub-sectors in the industry as well. During the Roadshow, he also appealed members of the rubber industry to come forward and take the leverage of this much awaited event to strengthen their business.
Mr. Singh informed that the IRE 2024 serves as a vital platform for businesses to showcase innovations and contribute to the sector's progress. He firmly expressed that the Indian Rubber Expo 2024 is expected to draw participants across the globe, contributing to its reputation as a catalyst for the rubber industry's development. With a rich history of success, IRE 2024 promises yet another power-packed edition that is set to shape the industry's future.
In his speech, Mr Liyou, spoke about the very cooperative relations with the Indian Rubber industry. He mentioned, "We should enhance solidarity and mutual trust for common security. We should embrace a win-win cooperation to chart a path to shared prosperity. Protectionism, unilateral sanctions and decoupling undermine people's well-being all over the world. As major developing countries and important emerging markets, both China and India are committed to achieving national development and modernization goals and shoulder major responsibilities in promoting world economic recovery, improving global governance and addressing global challenges".
Ending his talk on a positive note, Mr Liyou encouraged, "Our common interests far outweigh our differences. The two countries are neighbors that cannot be moved away".
Indra Parekh, Chairman - Northern Region, AIRIA stated that the 11th Edition of IRE 2024 would be the biggest expo in Asia. Zafar Ahmed, Member-Managing Committee, AIRIA mentioned that all the participants present in the Roadshow should take part in the IRE 2024 for their business growth globally. Since it would be the biggest-ever show, there is an opportunity to build your global reach.
Vikram Makkar, Past President and Member - Managing Committee, AIRIA joined the Roadshow virtually. He stated that IRE 2024 is an epicenter for interaction between rubber entrepreneurs in India and overseas. It is by far the biggest and the most eagerly awaited event across Asia, dedicated to the rubber industry. He also expressed that the 11th Edition of this landmark event will give opportunity to the participants to explore their domestic as well as overseas business.
Arjun Bahri Dhawan, Member - Managing Committee, AIRIA, who also joined the Roadshow virtually and welcomed all the participants in the Roadshow and requested everyone to participate and leverage the fruitfulness of the biggest ever expo for rubber-related products to grow their business, IRE 2024.
Raj Shah, Head of Projects & Events, AIRIA gave a brief presentation on Indian Rubber Expo 2024 sharing details of the event. He shared that the IRE 2024 will span across 17,500 square meters of actual exhibition space for exhibitors with a gross area of 30,000 square meters.
While wrapping up the Inaugural Session, Rakesh Kumar Dugar, Chairman - Eastern Region of AIRIA delivered the Vote of Thanks to the Chief Guest, all dignitaries, other distinguished members and delegates present which was followed by the cocktail and dinner.
Expressing gratitude towards unwavering support from the sponsors present at the Roadshow, AIRIA felicitated them at the Roadshow. In this interaction-filled roadshow, all dignitaries present were felicitated by Chief Guest Mr. Liyou, Mr. Kejriwal, Mr. Singh, Mr. Parekh, and Mr. Ahmed.
The show enlightened the members of rubber industry based in the Eastern Region and admirably concluded the huge endeavor.
